Audit of remote housing in the Northern Territory

In 2022 Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) reported on National Indigenous Australians Agency’s administration of funding to improve remote Indigenous housing in the NT. (The funding agreement was for the period 2018–19 to 2022–23.)

ANAO found that 1857 new dwellings were required in order to address homelessness and overcrowding, plus another 74 each year to meet the demands of population growth.
