Chief Executive Officer

AHNT’s inaugural Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is Skye Thompson, a proud Arrernte/Kaytetye woman with non-Indigenous heritage from her father’s side. Skye grew up in Central Australia, has lived in homelands and town camps, and maintains strong connections to her family’s homeland, Artekerre. She is passionate about supporting homelands to thrive.

Before joining AHNT, Skye worked for 20 years at Ingkerreke Services Aboriginal Corporation, starting as a receptionist and working her way up to CEO. Skye is a graduate of the Australian Institute for Company Directors course and holds a Certificate III in Financial Services and a Certificate IV in Governance.

As CEO of AHNT, Skye works with government agencies, land councils and related peak bodies to bring community control to Aboriginal housing throughout the Territory.
